Who are we?
An organization of musicians, artists, and patrons supporting artistic expression and encouraging creative community in Rochester, MN and the midwest. We facilitate a partnership between creatives and patrons that helps meet the need for art in the midwest. We do this through education, support of community events, and developing performance venues.
The Jive Mill began in 2012 with the hopes of building a community and venue for artists of all forms.
Our main way of helping to build this music community is through house concerts. House concerts are casual, small concerts hosted in living rooms, backyards, or similar space. With space limitations, the crowds are smaller, but with a high ‘in person’ experience. Read more here.
